Her Billionaire Boss Page 10
I pulled the ring out and held it up to her; the thin gold band held a pink diamond surrounded by tiny white diamonds. It was gorgeous as it reflected the moonlight, but nothing compared to Chelsea’s beauty.
“Will you marry me?”
The night was quiet as I waited with bated breath. She looked shocked, but it was taking her way too long to answer. I wasn’t sure how much of this my nerves could take.
“Yes, Jay, yes, of course. Yes!”
With that, she launched herself forward and threw her arms around me, knocking me off-balance so that I went tumbling to the ground with her on top of me. We both dissolved into fits of laughter as we became a mess of tangled limbs. She repositioned her arms so that she was able to lift her upper body off of me. She smiled down at me with tears in her eyes.
“I love you, Jay Keller.”
“Give me your hand, then.”
She held out her left hand and I slipped the ring onto her third finger. It was a perfect fit. I brought her hand to my lips and kissed the back of it while looking into her eyes.
“I love you, too, Chelsea Perrelle. Forever.”
